We, the P-51 Mustangs FRC Team #1745, compete twice a year in the BEST and FIRST challenges, where we use robots as a platform to inspire our members and our community to further develop and recognize science, engineering, and technology education. Founded in 1996, we have participated in BEST since 1999 and began participating in FIRST in 2006 after splitting from FRC Team 437 and FRC Team 1296 in 2001, and 2005 respectively. We've played variants on basketball, giant 3D tic-tac-toe, NASCAR, and satellite repair with our student-built bots. We take them to competition and play against teams from the Dallas area in Texas, or even the entire world! In 2006 we won the Lone star FIRST Rookie All-Star Award as FRC team 1745, and then in 2007, we took first place! In 2009 at the inaugural Dallas regional we won the best website award and FIRST's most prestigious award, the Chairmans award. All three years we went to the (inter)nationals in Atlanta, and we look forward to going there again. Pearce students If you're interested in joining, or if you just want to see what we do, drop by the robotics room across from the small gym after school! ! Potential sponsors In addition to having your donations go to a good, local cause, we offer various advantages for sponsors, such as advertising on our t-shirt, the robot itself, and product endorsement. There are a lot of ways to help us besides giving money: spare parts and lumber, meals during the build season, discounts -- anything that you can think of! If interested, please e-mail
